2018 Fundraiser - Success!

Thanks to everyone who came out and made the 2018 Manny L. Friedman Foundation fundraiser a success! Everyone had a blast, and we have furthered our goal of making every animal smile. Here are some memories (or FOMO if you didn't make it) from Saturday's event!

In the last seven months, The Manny L. Friedman Foundation has made substantial donations to three different no-kill animal shelters across the eastern seaboard! Here's a little look back at all we've done so far with your donations:

Our first donation was to the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (PAWS). PAWS is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to saving Philadelphia's homeless, abandoned, and unwanted animals. PAWS is the city's largest no-kill shelter! Through its adoption locations, special events, and foster care network, PAWS finds loving homes for thousands of animals each year. PAWS is working to make Philadelphia a no-kill city where every healthy and treatable pet is guaranteed a home.

Our second recipient was Pawmetto Lifeline. When the flooding hit South Carolina late last year, Pawmetto was in dire need of resources to handle a sudden influx of animals. Each year in their area, 17,000 dogs and cats enter two main municipal shelters, and each year 10,800 of them are euthanized even though they are healthy and capable of being adopted. Pawmetto is doing great work, and we were really happy to be able to help them in a crisis.

The most recent recipient of a donation from The Manny L. Friedman Foundation was Badass Brooklyn Animal Rescue. Their motto is "Saving badass dogs from idiot humans." All the dogs they've acquired were rescued from high-kill rural shelters in the southern US. So far they've rescued over 1,300! Every dog they rescue gets full medical care and is fostered until he or she can find a permanent home. Badass is a shining example of what the Manny L. Friedman foundation is all about. And they're a 501(c)3 non-profit with an all-volunteer force.

We think all three of these shelters are incredible, and we are so glad to have them be part of our network!
